Owner
Chad Odom is the founder, owner, and CEO of Palmetto Restorations. Chad is a car enthusiast first and an entrepreneur second, and his love for cars began at an early age. While his ten-year old friends were asking for bicycles and video games for Christmas, Chad was asking for Mustang catalogs and original classic car parts.
By 13, he was pulled over for testing out his parents' car — you know, driving around the neighborhood. Then, just one year later at 14 years old, working after school and on weekends at his father's pharmacy, he saved up enough money to purchase his first classic car. And that same year, teaching himself how to work on cars, Chad single-handedly rebuilt the car — a 1966 Mustang — from top to bottom. Lastly, at age15, Chad received his first driver's license. From here, there was no turning back; he had been bitten by the bug!
Chad attended college at the University of SC, and upon graduation, he worked a "real job" during the day and attended auto body classes at night. Once again, Chad was pouring all of his free time and money into purchasing and restoring classic autos.
Fast forward to 2005. Chad is a proven businessman, starting an industrial container business in 2001 and being named the fastest growing company in SC in 2003 and number 9 in 2004 and 2005. He was also named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for manufacturing and services in 2004. He is a leader in the community, donating a lot of his time and money to helping children, and has now carved out significant time to pursue his dream and lifelong passion — muscle and classic cars.
Today, Chad personally owns over 20 collectible cars. Just a few in his collection include; '65 Shelby GT350, '66 Shelby GT350H, 2 '67 Shelby GT500s, '67 Mustang 390 Fastback, 1969 Mach I with a 428 CJ engine, 1957 T-bird, 2006 Ford GT.
